The weather of the Northern Neck is subtropical with mild winter and hot, humid summers. Proximity to the Bay greatly moderates the temperatures in both winter and summer with daily shore breezes adding a breath of welcome cool air each day. Spring and fall are especially delightful with the flowering trees (dogwoods, ornamentals and red buds) bringing early color to your vistas and the leaves of the deciduous trees bringing a riot of color at the end of the season.

Average temperatures at the lot are rarely below zero in winter and snowfall, when it comes, is a novelty that seldom lasts for more than a day or two. We do get freezing temperatures for most of the winter but it is not unusual to be able to spend time on the creek even on New Year's Day.
